The 10+ years for Mad Dog Gear have been marked by steady growth to become a premier source of apparel and equipment for hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and ATV owners. Development of the Mad Dog Gear concept began in 1995 as an outgrowth of Stearns rainwear in brown WWI camouflage, which was introduced in the early 1980s. Stearns introduced the Mad Dog Gear brand in 1996 with a half dozen camo bags and packs for hunters. The market continued getting bigger, which encouraged us to expand the line, increase our marketshare, and strengthen our brand.
